This mobile application, downloaded onto your mobile phone, allows you to hear the mineral content of the soil at Bundanon — literally beneath your feet. As you set off on your augmented walk from the Bundanon homestead, you will hear a musical representation of the composition of the soil as you pass through each point.

Your walk, navigating across the floodplain and down to the river, offers a musical journey and a route of your choosing, populated with images of Bundanon. As you pass through the designated points on the map, your phone will display a colour graphic that denotes the mineral composition of the soil at that location and will simultaneously render a sonification of the type and amount of minerals. At other points, your phone will supplement this visual display with archival photographs which have been selected from the Bundanon Trust Archives. Each historical image correspond to the geographical location that you are traversing, offering a glimpse of the past.

We recommend the use of earphones to maximise the audio experience.
